Babakul, meaning “hippie” in French, was a nickname endearingly bestowed upon Kym Gold by business partner and friend Sophie Wizmann. At its inception in 2008, Kym Gold launched Babakul and focused on core wardrobe silhouettes that could carry over from season to season. “I wanted to create a collection for women that had more than just a shelf life–they were timeless–and would always have the capability to transcend,” states Gold.

The essence of Babakul stems from Kym’s personal style motto “disheveled sexy” and on the go idealism. A selection of timeless wardrobe staples that lucidly flows from day to night, with the quick switch of a shoe or hand bag, creating the signature Babakul style that is chic, easy and effortless. In addition, Babakul’s exploration and development of innovative fabrics as well as keen precision to fit has raised the bar, defining a new standard in the contemporary market.
